Valley Oaks Golf Course is a 27 hole golf course located in Visalia, California. The three nine hole layouts can be played in different 18 hole rotations. Set amongst age-old native oak, eucalyptus, and tall pine trees, the three nines meander through a gorgeous setting and provide a great test of golf for players of all abilities. The two original nines, the Valley and Oaks, are traditional in their design, while the newest nine, the Lakes, is a more modern links style layout.

19th Hole Review

This has the potential to be one of the best 19th holes in the Central Valley. A big shaded patio with views of the driving range and mountains, makes sitting outdoors a nice experience. The indoor area of the grill is very spacious and can seat around 100 people comfortably. It also features a large counter area with televisions located around the room for post golf sports viewing.

The service is snack bar style. Only one small area with a single register takes orders for both food and drinks. This can get very crowded and add an element of frustration to your 19th hole experience. At times they seem overstaffed, with workers standing around, but can only accommodate one customer at a time due to the single register customer service system they employ. In addition, the staff aren’t very friendly and seem annoyed by having to serve customers.

If they can discard their current method of serving customers and train grill employees to be a little more friendly, this could be a great place for post round food and beverages. We hope they can turn it around because we do like to golf at Valley Oaks. But sadly we currently take our post round food and beverage orders to other offsite establishments.

Driving Range Review

Valley Oaks shines when it comes to their driving range. Their remodeled driving range is nothing short of a great experience. They utilize Top Tracer technology which features advanced shot tracking, interactive games, virtual golf on world famous golf courses, and real time stats are your golf shots.

Range balls start at $10 for a small bucket (about 30 balls) to $20 for a large bucket (about 90 balls). The use of the Top Tracer technology is free and the app can be downloaded to your phone. It can be done from their website or your phone provider app store.

Range hours are from 6:30am to 9:00pm except Wednesday which is 10:00am to 9:00pm

The driving range bar opens at 6:00pm daily. We haven’t used the outside bar as of yet, so we are unable to provide a review of the service and offerings. But you can see a picture of it in our gallery below.
