The Basics of Gangsta’s League Golf

Tournament Formats

There will be 4 Saturday Gangsta League golf tournaments in 2026 and the Gangsta League Championship for a total of 5 eighteen hole tournaments. In addition, the Gangsta League meets on various weekdays for nine hole formats at various golf courses. Most of which occur in conjunction with Spark Golf and the Lemoore Golf Course on Thursday evenings.

Points are awarded for the 4 eighteen hole tournaments, as well as the weekly nine hole tournaments. Nine hole formats differ slightly from the eighteen hole tournaments in rules, points and handicaps. Please see below for more information on Gangsta Points and Rules.

All members are invited play in the Gangsta Championship tournament at the end of the season. Only the top six points earners will play for 2026 prize money. Of those six who qualify, only first through fourth places will be paid out. These payouts will be based on collected buy-ins throughout 2026. See below for more details.

Determining Your Opponents and Teammates on Game Day (18 hole tourneys only)

Your opponent for single man competition will be determined by a video card draw and will be posted on the website 72 hours before the upcoming tournament. You are not allowed to switch your opponent on game day without prior approval of league officials.

Your teammate for 2 man events will be determined by a poker chip draw the morning of the tournament. In some cases a deck of cards may be substituted for poker chips. Other opponent picking methods may be used at the discretion of the league president.

Prize Money and Championship Tournament

Club 5150 pays out season ending money to the overall points champion. This is determined by the size of the prize pool at the end of the season. The top six points places also get invited to the Club 5150 Gangsta Championship Tournament. These six players will vie for prize money paid from first through fourth place. The first place winner of this tournament will be crowned Gangsta Tour Champion and will also receive a trophy.

All members are invited to play in the Gangsta Tour Championship. There will be a separate prize pool for players who are 7th place and beyond. This will be determined the amount of players and the overall buy-in for that day.

Below examples are based on a $675 prize pool. These figures may increase or decrease based on attendance and total tournaments.
